Riding all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) is a great way to combine excitement and adventure with the chance to explore nature. At Xtreme Park Adventures, we know kids want to be a part of the fun but it’s hard for parents to safely show them how to operate a four-wheeler.
With our ATV Adventure for Kids, both kids and parents will be happy!
Designed specifically for kids aged 8 to 12 years old, our ATV Adventure combines a safety and operation lesson with the chance to drive across our spacious, three-acre ATV park. With sprawling trails that combine small jumps, hills, and curves, your kids will get to take on the terrain and get the exciting experience they’ve been waiting for.
Our Strict ATV Riding Safety Protocols
While we want the ATV Adventure to be exciting, safety for your kids is our highest priority. We provide helmets with each rental and they must be worn at all times. Plus, every trail experience begins with one of our experienced guides providing a 15-minute safety lesson, and the guides will be accompanying the children on the trail. Our all-terrain vehicles have a 10 mph maximum speed – fast enough to be fun but slow enough for young riders to maintain control as they let loose on our trails!
ATV Riding Requirements
All riders must:
Be 8-12 years of age
Height Maximum: 5′
Weight Maximum: 100 lbs
Wear the provided helmet at all times
Wear proper footwear at all times (NO flip-flops or open-toed shoes)

ATV Rental
$89. 1 hour rental includes:
· 15-minute safety orientation with the instructor. The rider will learn how to ride and operate our all-terrain vehicles
· 45-minute trail riding experience
· ATV helmet
Add-ons
· Head socks (required or bring your own): $3
· Goggles (recommended): $15-19
· Protective padding (recommended): $19

Every time they bring their ID back to ATV Adventure, they level up their category:

After finishing five rides, their sixth ride will be free!

What are the ages?
What kind of obstacles or items are on the ATV trail?
We have designed all of the ATV trails to have small obstacles for kids, including small jumps, mounts, sharp curves, and hills.
How big is the ATV park?
Our ATV park in Durham is 3 acres
What size are the ATVs?
50CC
How fast to the ATVs go?
Our ATVs for kids go 10 mph.
Do you have to wear a helmet?
Yes, we provide one or you can bring your own
Are goggles required?
No, but we highly recommend them. You can bring your own or you can buy them at our shop
Do we have to pay for fuel?
No, it is included in the rental price
Will there be guides to take my child on the ATV trail?
Will there be any other vehicles or people on the ATV trail?
No, just the instructors. The trails are only for this ATV adventure for kids.
My kid tried it and got scared, can I get a refund?
Yes, we will not force any child to ride. If your child gets scared within the first 15 minutes and opts to not ride then we will issue a full refund. After the 15 minutes no refunds will be allowed.
Can parents watch?
Yes, you may watch but we are not responsible for taking or bringing you back
Do you have ATV trails for adults?
No, our ATV trails are only for kids aged 8-12 years old.
